We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Electrical Design Engineer to contribute to innovative electrical system designs for large-scale EPC projects in the oil & gas sector. This role offers the chance to work on cutting-edge projects that shape critical infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design of complex electrical systems using 2D and 3D modeling tools.
- Prepare and review technical documentation, including single-line diagrams, schematics, and layout drawings.
- Design and integrate switchgear, motor control centers, and power distribution systems.
- Develop control system architectures (PLCs, SCADA, DCS) and optimize HMI interfaces for monitoring and control.
- Implement safety systems such as emergency shutdowns (ESD) and fire/gas detection systems.
- Perform load flow studies, short circuit calculations, and motor starting analyses.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards like IEC, IEEE, and NEMA.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Must have valid P.Eng. (Professional Engineering) License
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical design for heavy engineering projects.
- Proficiency in 2D CAD (e.g., AutoCAD) and 3D modeling tools.
- Strong knowledge of electrical equipment like transformers, switchgear, and motor control centers.
- Experience with power system analysis software (e.g., ETAP, SKM, DIgSILENT).
- Familiarity with instrumentation and control systems design.
- Understanding of hazardous area classification and equipment selection.
