Engineering Manager- Steam Generator Replacement Project (Bruce Power)

Our client is seeking a Engineering Manager to support the Steam Generator Replacement Project at Bruce Power. This role requires a licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng) in Ontario or the ability to obtain one, with 5+ years of nuclear engineering experience and 3+ years in leadership or management.

Location: On-site at BP (100%)

Full time permanent position - open to contractor status for the right candidate

Base Salary: $175k - 200k + benefits

Working hours: 40hr work week - must be flexible to work as per project demands

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical leadership for the Steam Generator Engineering Design Team.
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Oversee engineering deliverables related to design, construction, testing, commissioning, and plant operations.
  • Liaise with clients and stakeholders to ensure technical solutions meet project needs.
  • Manage resources, work assignments, proposals, and cost estimates.
  • Ensure compliance with high safety and quality standards in nuclear engineering.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (advanced degree preferred).
  • 5+ years of nuclear engineering or related experience.
  • 3+ years in a leadership or management role.
  • Strong understanding of CANDU reactor design, operations, and maintenance.
  • Experience with engineering change control, nuclear codes, and standards.
  • Familiarity with CSA N299.1-2016, CSA N291-15, National Building Code of Canada, OHSA, and PEO regulations.
  • Expertise in process piping design, fluid dynamics, and heat exchangers.
  • Prior experience at Bruce Power is an asset.
  • Security clearance and Orange Badge qualification are preferred.
  • Previous experience working on a construction site at a nuclear power plant preferred.
