Responsibilities:

  • Works on unusually complex problems and provides highly innovative solutions.
  • Uses independent judgment to accomplish goals and objectives.
  • Has insight into industry trends and communicates vision to guide organizational strategy and long-range planning.
  • Lends research and contributes to evaluations, project plans, and budgets for new products or updates existing products.
  • Acts as consultant on critical projects that impact long-term organizational goals and objectives.
  • Leads teams, gives technical guidance, and communicates with senior management on progress.
  • Identifies or creates solutions that are likely to contribute to the development of new company concepts.
  • Expected to set standards and achieve cost targets for product cost through proper design choices, component selection, or supplier selection.
  • Demonstrated expertise in competitive analysis.
  • May actively seek customer input and take responsibility for internal and external customer situations.
  • Determines requirements and functional specifications for entire system, under only consultative direction.
  • Characterize radio components and assist in creating models and soft compensation factors/functions.
  • Calibrate radios to meet performance and stability.
  • Work with power amplifier designers to bias and tune the power amplifier.
  • Work with designers to understand the radio link budget and integrate the radio components for performance and stability.
  • Tuning of DPD and CFR algorithms.
  • Assist the data path bring up from eCPRI to transceiver.
  • Characterize radio performance/behavior over temperature.

Job Requirements:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Knowledge and understanding of standards and requirements for cellular systems (LTE, NR) such as 3GPP and FCC.
  • Fundamental understanding of digital signal processing, telecommunications, and microwave circuits.
  • Experience with MATLAB and Python programming.
  • Experience with Automation.
  • Experience working with instruments such as spectrum analyzers, signal generators, power meters, network analyzers, oscilloscopes, and power supplies.
  • Knowledge of fundamental RF measurements related to RX and TX.
  • Experience working with radio components such as power amplifiers, FPGAs, Transceivers, and RF filters.
  • Experience working with RF equipment such as couplers, combiners, and attenuators.
  • Experience working with Raspberry Pis, ARM processors, or equivalent.

Listed salary ranges may vary based on experience, qualifications, and local market. Also, some positions may include bonuses or other incentives.
