Job Description

We are seeking a Gas Turbine Engineer to join the Rotating Equipment Division under Equipment Consulting Services Department.

The Rotating Equipment Division is responsible for providing technical support for Aramco operating facilities and new projects. Also, developing value adding concepts and technologies to address corporate challenges and enhance its operation. Furthermore, maintaining Saudi Aramco mandatory engineering standards and best practices related to various types of rotating equipment.

As a Gas Turbine Engineer your primary role is to lead in developing and recommending solutions to solve plant machinery technical issues

Key Responsibilities

As a successful candidate you will be required to perform the following:

  • Provide technical consultations for equipment including gas turbines and diesel engines
  • Specify or review designs, selections, ratings and specifications for new projects or equipment modifications.
  • Maintain Aramco standards related to gas turbines and diesel and develop value adding technologies and enhancements for Aramco facilities.
  • provide work direction, technical advice and mentoring to teammates and junior engineers.

Minimum Requirements

As the successful candidate you will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized and approved program. An advanced degree is preferred.
  • Minimum 20 years' experience in Rotating Equipment, specifically gas turbines within refineries, chemical plants, gas plants or similar facilities.
  • Experience in analyzing performance, troubleshooting, selecting, and repair of gas turbines including auxiliary components such as fuel systems, air intake filters, lube oil systems and control system
  • Detailed knowledge of international codes and API standards related to your duties is a requirement
  • Experience in overhaul both at package level and at components level (blades, vanes, combustor etc.)
  • Five recent engineering reports or case histories on the subject of rotating equipment authored by you. These reports shall include gas turbine related problems.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and review performance of diesel engines
