Business Address: Street, Surrey, BC, V3R 6X2 Work Location: Various locations across the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley Job Title: Roofer Helper (NOC 75110) Terms of Employment: 30-40 hours per week, full-time, permanent Start Date: As soon as possible Wage: $24.00-$25.00 per hour (Depending on experience) No of Positions: 2 Job Duties: Load and unload construction materials, and move materials to work areas Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring and barricades required at construction sites Mix, pour and spread the materials Assist tradespersons such as roofers and carpenters in construction activities Assist in demolishing buildings using prying bars and other tools, and sort, clean and pile salvaged materials Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites using rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows and other equipment Assist in carrying heavy equipment Help roofers to do layout Perform other activities at construction sites, as directed SKILLS REQUIREMENTS Education: No formal education required. Experience: No formal experience required. Experience working on construction sites would be considered an asset. Language: Basic English Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Repetitive Tasks, physically demanding, require handling heavy loads, requires lifting, Pulling, and carrying of equipment and other objects, Standing for long period of time Personal Suitability: Ability to work in confined spaces, as well as high height levels. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
