Our client, a leading manufacturer in the tissue products industry, is seeking a Steamfitter to join their team. As a Steamfitter, you will be part of the Operations & Maintenance department supporting various teams. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, effective communication skills, and a commitment to ongoing learning which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: York

Pay Range: Starting wage of $52.772/hour depending on experience, qualifications, and professional certifications

What's the Job?

• Work with the Operation & Maintenance teams to understand and scope out work requests.
• Complete associated administrative requirements with each work order using the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
• Install piping and associated systems, maintaining them to perform as designed for equipment operation.
• Manage employees and contractors for shutdowns and project work, including periodic contact with vendors and suppliers for equipment information.
• Drive to become a site leader for piping-related issues and solutions.

What's Needed?

• Red Seal Steamfitter / Gas fitter certification.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is considered an asset.
• Proven track record of working safely at all times.
• Strong proficiency or willingness to work with computers (i.e., MS Office).
• Ability to assess and prioritize daily work for execution as per job estimating.
