A career within Procurement Advisory Consulting services, will provide you with the opportunity to help our clients optimize all elements of their procurement operations to move beyond the role of a cost effective, risk-aware business enabler and become a source of competitive advantages. We focus on hot topics such as: category management and strategic sourcing, procurement operation optimization, contract management, supplier risk and performance management, ESG procurement strategy and execution, to drive growth and profitability, and drive overall value for their organizations.

Meaningful work you'll be part of

As a Director, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Proactively leading the practice by executing our strategy and driving the development of new solutions.
  • Developing and maintaining trusted relationships with decision makers at key clients.
  • Acting as a subject matter expert on client projects.
  • Publishing high impact thought leadership in the marketplace.
  • Identifying and heading opportunities to leverage technology solutions to drive greater efficiencies and effectiveness for both our clients and team.
  • Establishing credibility with our clients by demonstrating expertise and knowledge of various aspects of procurement transformations.
  • Engagement Management of full project lifecycles from inception to completion.
  • Leading the delivery of large engagements (teams ranging from 4-25+) from initial assessment and business case development to full implementation and value creation.
  • Management of engagement risk and project economics including planning and budgeting.
  • Proactively identifying, heading pursuits, and proposal development including architecting innovative approaches and methodologies.
  • Collaborating with PwC colleagues across other lines of services globally to identify best suitable solutions to service our clients' needs.
  • Coaching and developing members of your team.
  • Actively participating in staff recruitment and management activities.

Experiences and skills you'll use to solve

  • Relevant hands-on experience in a leadership role of a procurement function preferably in a consulting environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of category management and strategic sourcing, procurement function strategy and operating model development and implementation, procurement function process and technology design and implementation.
  • Demonstrated knowledge selling and implementation of eProcurement or Source to Pay technology solutions, such as SAP Ariba, Coupa, GEP and / or Ivalua.
  • Confident with building trusted executive relationships by demonstrating subject matter expertise in the procurement function.
  • Success with developing new business, responding to proposals and heading complex bids.
  • Proven track record of managing and delivering complex, multi-faceted transformation projects.
  • Motivated to build solid and collaborative relationships with team members and foster a productive teamwork environment.
  • Highly capable with thought leadership, new business development and securing project extensions, including client lead maturation, proposal development, and closing new business opportunities.
  • Strong knowledge and awareness of Procurement and technology trends.
  • Strategic and creative thinking, excellent written, presentation, communication and influencing skills.
  • A demonstrated commitment to valuing differences, developing and coaching diverse teams, and ensuring diverse perspectives are heard.

What to consider before applying

This role has the option of being based out of our Montreal, Toronto, Calgary or Vancouver offices.

  • When applying to a Quebec based opportunity, fluency in French is required. Outside of Quebec, fluency in French is an asset.
  • The salary range for this position is $162,200 - $216,200, plus individuals may be eligible for an annual bonus payment. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon your skills, experience, qualifications and geographic location.
  • Please note that the salary range for this position is reflected for our British Columbia region. Given our national recruiting approach, we recruit (and may hire) in other regions and therefore the salary range may differ depending on the work location.
