The Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Family Nurse Practitioner to join our multidisciplinary team in downtown Vancouver. Our clinic focuses on comprehensive healthcare programs that prioritize preventative approaches to disease, enabling patients to lead healthier, happier lives.
As a clinical leader, you will collaborate with clinicians to provide collaborative care, sharing evidence-based information and educating one another to deliver world-class patient care. In this role, you will take the lead on children and youth programming while providing care for adults.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality in-office patient care, including well visits, chronic care management, and episodic care
- Flexible schedules allowing for virtual care appointments to support a balanced lifestyle
- Collaboration and shared learning meetings with clinical colleagues
- Utilize your clinical training to educate fellow clinicians during regular collaboration meetings
- Provide well-baby and well-child care using evidence-based health guidelines for primary healthcare practitioners (ages 0-18)
- Perform developmental and social-emotional screening in children aged 0-5 years
- Conduct psychosocial interviews of adolescents using the SSHADESS screening, exploring emotional well-being and adolescent risk behaviors
- Recognize and address the unique needs of the young adult population
Qualifications and Criteria:
- Completion of the MN-NP program, Family Nurse Practitioner designation
- Current active registration with BCCNM (BC) or CRNA (AB)
- Clinical experience in primary healthcare
