On site: Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.
Responsibilities: Tasks
Determine type of glass, frames and material required, Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements, Measure, mark and cut glass, Position and secure panes in frame, Assemble and install prefabricated glass, mirrors or glass products, Install door, window and other hardware, Prepare shop drawings, Repair glass doors and other glass structures, Assemble, erect and dismantle scaffolding, rigging and hoisting equipment, Supervise other workers, Transport cases of glass, Estimate costs and materials
Experience and specialization: Glass cutting equipment and techniques
Automatic finger pull machine, Cut glass plate manually (straight cuts), Cut glass plate free-hand (curved cuts)
Installation specialization: Aluminum storefronts, barrel vaults, solariums, commercial window systems
Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding, Standing for extended periods, Bending, crouching, kneeling
