As a Dental Therapist with City Centre Dental Clinic (Yorkton, SK), you will provide preventative and restorative dental care to patients such oral health assessments, cleaning and polishing teeth, applying fluoride and sealants, and carrying out fillings and simple extractions. The Dental therapists aim to improve access to dental care and promote good oral hygiene practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform diagnostic assessments to examine patients' oral health to diagnose diseases.
Perform preventative dental procedures such as teeth cleaning, gum stimulation and fluoride and sealant applications
Perform restorative services such as filling cavities and placing crowns
Provide oral care instructions, strategies to maintain and improve oral
Perform routine teeth restorations and extractions and provide post-care instructions
Refer patients to other dental professionals for care beyond the scope of the dental therapist
Provide oral health promotion activities
Supervise dental assistants in their health care functions.
Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Dental Therapy or equivalent.
CPR and First Aid certification.
Strong understanding of dental terminology, equipment, infection control protocols, and sterilization techniques.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a caring and empathetic demeanor.
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and patient-focused environment.
Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy.
