Our Client, a global renowned IT company (An American multinational company, specializing in information technology services and consulting worldwide; A Fortune Global 500 company), End Client: One of the Big 6 Banks in Canada is looking for a Mainframe Capacity & Performance Resource with below skillsets:

Full Details:
Position Title: Mainframe Capacity & Performance Resource
Job Type: Contract
Duration: 03 Months long Contract (with high possibilities of more extension)

Location: This role is based in Montreal, QC, Toronto, ON / Anywhere within Canada (Remote role)

Start Date: Middle of March 2025

Pay Rate: 70$ - 90$ Incorporated + HST

OR

55$ - 70$ on T4

(Depending on years' of experience and skillset)

Job Description (Must - have Skills):

We are looking for a Mainframe Capacity & Performance Resource with below skillsets:

  • 07 - 10+ years of relevant / overall experience
  • Performance Management is responsible for measuring, analyzing, reporting and tuning the performance of existing IT resources. Capacity Planning is responsible to plan for optimal IT resources required to fulfill current and future requirements. Data collection and reporting. Use, install and upgrade system tools. Participate in DR tests. This position also requires to make architecture improvement solution recommendations to the account team and do the presentations to the client.
  • Maintenance and administration of software tools like MICS, MXG and SAS are part of the position responsibilities.
  • In support of client account, interaction with other mainframe support teams (Security, Automation, zOS, DB2, IMS)
  • Facility to use and maintain those tools: Computer Associated MICS • SAS • zPCR (Processor Capacity Reference for IBM System z) • zCP3000 RMF I + II + III + Post Processing (Resource Measurement Facility) • MXG • WLM (Wrkload Manager)
  • French speaking NOT required, only fluent English speaking is good enough
  • Experience using Problem and Change tools. Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and Lotus Notes. Adobe Acrobat.
  • Overall desire to understand the mainframe environment and how it can interface to other platforms.
  • This role allows great opportunities to interact and provide leadership to other teams. Have the chance to set direction and design as new technology is introduced to the environment. It requires a deep understanding of how zOS and MF functions and interacts with the other mainframe components. This is key for designing, maintaining and preforming problem resolution.
  • Self motivator, Detail oriented, Good problem solver, Sound logic skills. Ability to maintain composure under pressure. Good verbal and written communication skills. Personal desire to always improve.
