Position Overview

The Sales Strategy Consultant drives sales performance by providing expert-level support to the field through the Director Operation & Sales(DOS) team and Platform VPs. This role is integral to the success of corporate sales strategies, programs, and processes, including launch, execution, communication, support, and expert sales coaching to the DOS team. Additionally, the consultant collaborates with HR in the selection of new sales candidates and offers ongoing feedback to the corporate Sales Strategy and marketing teams on training requirements, sales retention, sales strategies, and competitive intelligence.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Expertise : Serve as a subject matter expert in sales, exemplifying Chartwell's Sales Process while educating, coaching, and supporting the DOS team.
Data Interpretation and Trend Analysis : Analyze metrics to drive results, identify trends, and work with the DOS team to develop residence-specific plans.
Talent Recruitment : Collaborate with HR and the DOS team on recruitment campaigns to attract and hire top sales talent.
Sales Strategy Implementation : Support the execution of Chartwell's sales strategy to increase market share for the organization's products and services.
Program Communication and Feedback : Ensure effective communication and implementation of national sales programs, providing feedback to corporate teams.
Sales Coaching and Development : Offer effective sales coaching to the DOS team in various areas including sales planning, activity management, face-to-face selling skills, and RLC development planning.
Market and Competitive Analysis : Maintain an excellent knowledge of the market and competition, regularly analyzing competitive data to inform strategies and direction.
Support Planning and Prioritization : Balance travel and virtual leadership to provide optimal support coverage to the DOS team.

Qualifications

Education:

Post-secondary diploma or degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field from a recognized institution.

Experience:

3-5 years of progressive experience in sales and marketing, including territory management.
Preferred experience in the seniors housing or hospitality industry.
Proven ability to identify sales trends and achieve established targets.
Experience interacting with mature adults and seniors in a management capacity is preferred.

Skills and Abilities:

Proficient in Microsoft Office, Yardi, Oracle HCM, and Power BI applications.
Deep understanding of the Chartwell sales process.
Strong analytical skills to leverage marketing data and metrics.
Results-driven with a focus on accountability.

Demonstrated business acumen and decision-making skills.
Effective leadership abilities to drive results through people.

Special Requirements:

The ability to participate in extensive travel.
A valid provincial driver's license and access to a vehicle
The satisfactory outcome of a professional reference check and a criminal record check

Reporting Relationship:

The position reports to the Vice President, Sales Strategy.
