Occupational Therapist - Unique Opportunity in Diverse Caseload Management

Location: 800 East Lake Boulevard, Airdrie, AB

Schedule: Monday to Friday, flexible hours and the option to work from home one day per week.

Your Day-to-Day:

Assess clients' physical and/or cognitive functioning in a clinic setting, performing assessments such as job demands analyses, functional capacity evaluations, cognitive abilities evaluations, ergonomic assessments, attendant care assessments, and pre-employment assessments
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans through clinical reasoning and analysis
Educate clients on safe body mechanics, cognitive behavioral strategies, and functional tolerance activities
Facilitate return-to-work programs, including job coaching and accommodation recommendations
Use e-charting software to document treatment sessions and submit reports to stakeholders promptly
Participate in case conferences and management, ensuring high-quality, coordinated care
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team at the clinic
Supervise Occupational Therapy students, if preferred
Promote Lifemark's OT programs through networking and relationship-building with stakeholders
Manage a fast-paced caseload, providing care for clients with varied backgrounds and needs

Unique Role Highlights:

This role offers a highly diverse caseload that includes mental health, cognitive therapy, concussion management, motor vehicle accidents, and return-to-work/school planning and assessments. You'll work closely with a range of stakeholders and founders, enriching the collaborative nature of this role.

You'll also have the opportunity to work with the current Occupational Therapist, who will offer guidance, training, and support during your transition.

Additional training for specialized assessments (such as Cognitive Abilities Evaluations, Functional Capacity Evaluations, and home assessments) is available on-site or through our extensive learning center.

What You Bring to the Team:

Registration in good standing with the provincial College of Occupational Therapists
Experience or willingness to work with clients presenting physical, neurological, and/or mental health conditions
Ability to work autonomously while thriving in a team environment
Commitment to post-graduate professional development
Experience with auto insurance, long-term disability, and WSIB referrals is a strong asset
Familiarity with occupational rehabilitation is a strong asset
Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
