About the Role

We are seeking exceptional Licensed Practical Nurses to join our community based Addiction Nursing team. As a vital member of the nursing team, you'll play a pivotal role in providing compassionate nursing care and support to individuals bravely navigating the journey of substance withdrawal and mental health struggles. In our medically supervised and secure environment, you'll be at the forefront of delivering 24-hour nursing care, supported by access to on-site physicians. Position: Temporary Part Time Until Return of Incumbent -12 hours a week on Sundays.

Compensation: LPN wage range $33.16 - $39.71 per hour plus applicable shift premiums.
Evening shift premium - additional $3.50 per hour between 1900hr-0700hr
Weekend shift premium - additional $2.50 per hour between 2400hr (midnight) Friday - 2400hr (midnight) Sunday
Shift premiums compound- additional $6.00 per hour between 1900hr-0700hr on 2400hr (midnight) Friday - 2400hr (midnight) Sunday

Indirect Compensation:
Municipal Pension Plan Portability with 9.31% Pension matching depending on current Pension enrollment status
3 weeks vacation which increases with length of service
1 paid wellness day per year
Paid Birthday off
Paid Lunch Period
Paid sick time which increases with length of service.
Nursing License Fee Reimbursement

Qualifications

_Education and experience_
LPN with current registration with BCCNM
Experience with addictions and mental health would be an asset

_Job skills and abilities_
Well developed interpersonal, oral, and written skills.
Proficient knowledge of group process and facilitation techniques.
Good time management skills.
Ability to work effectively with program team, social workers, and other community professionals.

_Other Requirements_
Criminal record check in accordance with agency policy
Medical clearances
First aid/CPR certificate (preferred)
Proof of Covid-19 vaccination or exemption required.
