We are currently recruiting for a Speech-language Pathologist who can support to diagnose, assess and treat human communication disorders including speech, fluency, language, voice and swallowing disorders, in the Community.

LOCATION: Northern York Region-including South Simcoe and surrounding areas/North York

Qualifications:
Completion of a Master's degree from a Speech Language Pathology program
Registered with the College of Audiologists and Speech Language Pathologists of Ontario
Minimum 3-5 years of experience working as a Speech Language Pathologist
Experience working in a community setting an asset
Valid Ontario driver's license and a reliable vehicle
Proficient in conducting assessments, interpreting assessment results, and formulating evidence-based treatment plans
Experience using a variety of assessment tools and therapy techniques commonly used in speech-language pathology

Responsibilities:
Administer tests, examinations and observe patients to diagnose and evaluate speech, voice, resonance, language, fluency, cognitive-linguistic and swallowing disorders
Develop, plan and implement remedial programs to correct speech, voice, language, fluency, resonance, cognitive-linguistic and swallowing disorders
Establish group and personalized care plans working as a member of an interdisciplinary team
Educate and counsel patients and families regarding communication and swallowing disorders
Conduct research on speech and other communication disorders and on the development and design of diagnostic procedures and devices
May instruct and supervise communicative disorders assistants, students and other health care personnel
