The Regional Operations Manager's primary responsibility is ensuring organizational effectiveness by providing leadership for the organization's financial functions and measurements. This position requires someone with the ability to multi-task, lead multiple cross-functional project teams, all the while controlling costs and improving service.

Working with the management team, the position also contributes to the development and implementation of organizational strategies, policies and practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive operational consistency in all warehouse and delivery operations.
  • Annual warehouse reviews by location while identifying development opportunities' set to agreed timelines with local team. Goal is to drive increase performance & reduced operational costs.
  • Responsible to lead and direct all moves & system conversions in your assigned locations. Including weekly calls, racking design, equipment requirements and move staffing.
  • Consistently achieve operational standards in all warehouse and delivery operations.
  • Deliver consistency in warehouse and delivery cost performance.
  • Ensure housekeeping is of the highest standard.
  • Ensure compliance with ALL health & safety regulatory compliance.
  • Drive new and innovative warehouse and delivery performance to improve our customer service and competitiveness.
  • Coach, mentor and develop managerial bench strength in warehouse and delivery operations
  • Build a positive, empowering culture with our employees.
  • Free up senior leadership time to oversee key priorities for support purpose and allow time for focusing on overall leadership to the key roles of the senior managers of: Managing Vision, Driving Core Strategies, Driving & Achieving Results, Talent Management

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Minimum of 7 years warehouse experience involving freight, fleet and warehouse operations
  • Minimum 3 years of experience supervising a warehouse environment
  • Knowledgeable of state and federal OSHA and DOT regulations
  • Experience with union contracts preferred
  • Strong negotiating skills and ability to build and sustain vendor relationships
  • Strong leadership, organizational and communication skills
  • Willingness to travel and relocate as needed
  • Knowledge of private fleet and third-party freight operations.
  • Knowledge of AS400 and/or mainstream ERP, WMS and TMS platforms
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
