Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team to cover the maternity leave (1 year) of our longstanding hygienist. Our present longstanding hygienist (10 years with us) is having her second child in August, 2024. We are a periodontal specialty practice in downtown Nanaimo, Vancouver Island, BC

Duties:
- Conduct dental cleanings
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care
- Maintain patient records accurately (we use dental software Power Practice/Exan)
- Conduct screenings for oral health conditions

Skills:
- Proficiency in Dentrix software
- Proficiency with use of local anesthetic
- Knowledge of dental office procedures
- Familiarity with dental terminology
- Strong customer service skills

Pay: $57.00-$63.00 per hour
