Position Summary:

Reporting to the Senior Engineering Manager; the Senior Process Engineer (Maintenance & Manufacturing), will take responsibility for all design of processes within his/her given brief. The ideal candidate is expected to pro-actively identify where processes can be adapted and optimized to ensure cost effectiveness directly relating to operations. Main priorities of the position will be provide oversight and expertise to maintenance requirements and needs within the facility, along with support towards manufacturing processes. Responsibilities include project management, capital planning, maintenance of current processes, and support of the maintenance needs.

Responsibilities & Expectations:
Utilizes background and expertise, to oversee maintenance activities and requirements within the facility.
Continuously seeking out improvement opportunities for safety, quality, and productivity.
Provides assistance towards various equipment and capital expenditures as required.
Identification of manufacturing process improvements and capital acquisitions that includes communication by use of the PMI framework as part of project plans.
Prepare cost benefit analysis to allow senior evaluation and approval of projects and continue to inform stakeholders as the project progresses.
Works closely with various internal stakeholders on new project work, and develops appropriate engineering directives required to ensure project success in the manufacturing plant.
Leading Process Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (PFMEA / Control Plan) creation and updates (with supplier participation).
Creation of process flow charts, OPLs, SOPs, SOSs, and other standardization documents.
Ensuring that all processes operate within lean manufacturing principles (value stream mapping, 5S, 3M, kanban, poka-yoke, 5Q0D, 5Why, kaizen, 5W1H, etc.).
Conduct workflow analysis and make recommendations for improvement in material handling and plant layout.
Establish and maintain work standards for product costing and productivity measurement.
Create Change Controls as related to manufacturing process improvements.
Provides other supports to the engineering, maintenance or manufacturing teams as required.
Desired Qualifications:
Engineering degree, B. Eng. Mechanical or equivalent. P.Eng designation is required.
Minimum of 5+ years of process engineering experience, with a focus on maintenance and manufacturing.
Proven ability to create and execute project plans that have achieved the identified targets.
Demonstrated experience working as part of diverse teams to achieve common goals, exemplifying positive thinking to drive activity forward.
Problem solving and root cause analysis experience.
Knowledge of PowerBI, PowerApps, Sharepoint, and Excel data manipulation - either in use or in understanding of capability - considered an asset.
Experience as a Process or Manufacturing Engineer, in a high-volume manufacturing environment considered an asset.
Expertise in PFMEA techniques, Lean Manufacturing techniques, PMBOK/PMI structures, or Quality Control background considered assets.
