Alma Veterinary Hospital have a rare opportunity for a Clinical Director to join our team at our well-equipped hospital in Windsor. Whilst your main focus will be providing and encouraging gold standard clinical work, you would head up the vet team, making important decisions regarding clinical protocols and governance. Alongside the practice manager you will strive to further develop the business and practice, whilst continuing to encourage our wonderful team to provide the best standard of veterinary and client care possible.
Day-to-day responsibilities will involve acting as Clinical Lead. You'll play a crucial role in supporting the vet team with clinical cases and decisions to ensure we are providing gold standard veterinary care to our patients. You will work closely with the Head Nurse to ensure the days run smoothly and put best practice protocols in place for our patients and team. Working alongside our Practice Manager and Head Nurse, you'll have the opportunity to lead the team, shaping the practice's ongoing success. The role will include a mixture of surgery and consultation days covering all aspects of first opinion practice.
Rota patterns that work for you
The full-time role will involve working 4 days per week and 1:3 Saturday mornings. We would be happy to consider and discuss part - time options for any candidates that are unable to work full time. You will be required to be on call approximately once weekly for our inpatients that are hospitalised at the practice.

Alma Veterinary Hospital is located in the royal town of Windsor, with many tourist attractions such as Windsor Castle, Lego Land and Thorpe Park nearby. Windsor is an affluent town surrounded by beautiful countryside along the Thames path and Windsor Great Park. There are many restaurants, shop and cafes in the town, all of which are walking distance from the practice. Windsor has excellent transport links into London Paddington and London Waterloo. We are approximately 15 mins from Heathrow, 45 mins from Gatwick and are 5 mins from the M4 and M25, making travelling in all directions very easy.

Alma Veterinary Hospital is a fully equipped first opinion practice seeing a wide range of surgical and medical cases. We have 4 consultation rooms, separate cat and dog waiting rooms and wards. As well as all the usual facilities of a first opinion practice, we have a dedicated dental suite, an imaging room and a full in-house laboratory. Our hospital is very well equipped with a Karl Storz laparotomy tower, radiography, ultrasound, dental radiography, full in-house laboratory, a Tonopen, endoscopy, videoscope, bronchoscopy, orthopaedic equipment, ECG, Capnography and much more. We are proud to be the only practice within a 15-mile radius able to offer laparoscopic surgery to our patients.
About the Team and Culture
We have a wonderful team of 7 Veterinary Surgeons at Alma, who's working patterns equate to an equivalent of 4.5 Full time vets. We are incredibly lucky to have 2 x certificate holders within the vet team, one surgical cert holder and one medical cert holder. We are also very fortunate to have both of our previous practice partners still working with us at the Hospital. Our nursing team consists of 10 nurses, made up of 8 RVN's and 3 students. In addition, we have 5 support staff including our Practice Manager, Reception and Admin teams. Much of the team at Alma have been at the practice for many years.

Applicant Requirements
We are looking for an experienced veterinary surgeon who is competent in all aspects of first opinion veterinary medicine and surgery to complement our existing team of dedicated vets. The successful candidate must strive to provide gold standard veterinary care to our patients and clients, whilst working closely with our vet team to approach to discuss clinical cases with excellence and continuity.
