Shift Time:- 7am to 7pm (Rotational Shift)
Starting wage is $43.50, and $1-night premium for hours worked between 7pm – 7am.
The successful candidates will be working continental shifts, rotating between day and nights. They qualify for benefits after 90 employment days and it's a basic benefit package with dental, health care, prescription drug, and vision care.
The candidate will get 2 weeks of vacation after 1 year of employment, however if the candidate has anything planned already, the managers are pretty okay to approve it but it varies on the month or coverage.
Job Functions:-
- Adhere to all Site and Department Safe Practices, and ensure anyone working in their immediate area is held to those same standards.
- Utilize technical skills to execute planned maintenance and address break-in work.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial and mechanical equipment.
- Conduct preventive maintenance on all equipment.
- Actively participate in the planning process to ensure that the right work is being completed at the right time by the right resources.
- Execute work as scheduled by planners (to include PMs, inspections, rounds, etc.).
- Ensure documentation of maintenance work occurs according to Maintenance Best Practices (prep for history, work complete, critique, failure analysis, etc.).
- Document all maintenance work (scheduled work and break-in work) and its status in the shift logbook system and work order system.
- Utilize computerized maintenance tools to execute jobs effectively.
- Be involved in root cause analysis, problem solving, and troubleshooting in his or her area of responsibility.
- Complete shift assessment to understand overall process health, documents findings.
- Work collaboratively with other technical and operational resources.
- Interface with Maintenance Coordinator and other maintenance leaders for coaching and direction setting.
Responsibilities and Requirements:-
- Applicant must be able willing to work any shift, including night shift.
- 433A Industrial Mechanic Millwright License.
- Previous completion of an apprenticeship is strongly preferred.
- Excellent troubleshooting, problem solving and communication skills (verbal and written)
- Must be able to read and interpret blueprints.
- Demonstrated knowledge and adherence to safety policies and procedures.
- Able to work in fast paced production environment with multiple priorities .
- High degree of attention to detail, precision and follow through.
- Minimum 5 years of hands on experience in food manufacturing.
Requirements
- Trouble shooting skills for Electrical & Mechanical problems
- Understanding of electrical circuitry
- Knowledge of PLC's, maintenance shop machinery and electronics
- Knowledge of building wiring and CSA codes as it applies to an Industrial establishment.
- Reading, writing and communication in English.
- Must be able to lift and move heavy machinery.
- Ability to work at heights, heat, cold, and within guidelines of Occupational Health & Safety.
- Industrial Electrician license.
- Minimum 3 years local electrician experience in Canada from within a Food Plant Manufacturing environment.
