We currently have an exciting career opportunity as a Contract Fixed-Term (6 months) Shipper Receiver Supervisor! This role is based in our Distribution Center in Etobicoke, Ontario, and reports to our Distribution Center Manager.

Job purpose & description:

The Shipper Receiver Supervisor will be responsible for the performance and execution of all distribution centre operations and will manage a team of material handlers while ensuring all Health, Safety and CTPAT policies are followed.

Requirements

Key responsibilities:
  • Shipping, receiving and recording the movement of parts, supplies, materials, equipment between the manufacturing department to DC and between the DC and external warehouses
  • Checking inventory receipts and ensuring overall inventory accuracy for all items including warehouse bin management
  • Preparing shipping documents, interacting with customs, freight forwarders, commercial trucking services, Fed Ex and UPS
  • Resolving shipping cost/postage, labeling boxes, writing addresses and preparing bills of lading
  • Stock transfers between warehouses are entered and received
  • Ensuring the cleanliness and orderliness of storage areas and FIFO compliance for perishable items (compound)
  • Participation and execution of inventory cycle counts and annual physical inventory activities
  • Management of employee performance and attendance
  • Ensuring adherence of team members to department critical metrics
Job requirements:
  • Completion of a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in a distribution/warehouse environment
  • First-Aid Training Certificate would be an asset
  • Experience in a RF environment considered an asset
  • Proven understanding of Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Excellent interpersonal and planning skills

  • Good time-management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
