We're looking for an experienced and energetic Product Operations Specialist to join our Product team. Reporting to the VP of Product, you'll be ensuring that the Product team's efforts are focused on delivering the most value and consider the full range of user needs, all while bolstering their operational efficiency.

A day in the life as a Product Operations Specialist:

  • Drive Cross-Functional Collaboration – Work directly with Product team members to ensure accountability across upstream and downstream teams. Maintain transparency around delivery timelines, estimates, and risks. Lead effective communication channels between teams.
  • Stakeholder Management & Communication – Spearhead cross-departmental initiatives including goal tracking and progress reporting. Cultivate strong relationships with internal teams while ensuring effective information flow. Serve as a responsive liaison to our customer and partner community.
  • Product Request Management – Evaluate and respond to incoming feature requests. Synthesize feedback into actionable themes and strategic recommendations for the product team.
  • Internal Tools Governance – Develop and maintain standards for internal tools, ensuring they serve as a unified source of truth across the organization. Focus on seamless integration of partner projects into existing systems.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making – Transform metrics and user data into actionable insights that drive Product team goals. Analyze team efficiency metrics to identify optimization opportunities. Collaborate with team members to deepen understanding of user workflows.

In the first 6 months, you'll be successful at reaching these milestones:

  • Digesting the existing Feature requests and deliver actionable insights to the Product Management group
  • Building, documenting, & maintaining communication channels with internal teams.
  • Evaluating & prioritizing existing partner requests.

  • I have at least 5 years of experience in a SaaS product environment, particularly in a product or support capacity
  • I have knowledge of…
  • Institutional dietary and food service operations,
  • Electronic Healthcare Records (EHR) systems and/or EHR-integrated systems,
  • Menu management systems for healthcare clients,
  • Accounting systems and/or supply chains related to the food service industry,
  • Inventory management systems and analysis methodologies with an understanding of profitable procurement practices spanning labour and raw food costs to rebate programs and volume purchases,
  • Point of Sale (POS) systems and related application integrations like online ordering, kitchen management systems, and digital payments,
  • Or a combination of one or more of these areas.
  • I gained my knowledge through at least 3 years of direct external-facing experience with a strong understanding of a partner ecosystem, and at least 2 years interfacing with an agile development process.
  • I have experience with planning tools, like Monday, ProductBoard, ClickUp, or Trello, product tools like Aha!, Miro, Figma, MogUps, and Axure, and dev tools like Jira.
  • I'm intimately familiar with inter-departmental dynamics, communication, & cooperation.
  • I'm exceptional at prioritizing and organizing resources and needs based on tangible data, as well as keeping people responsive and accountable for their work.
  • I have a proven ability to effectively communicate with team members from different areas and help bridge any gaps and maintain ongoing inter-team relationships.
  • I'm willing to occasionally travel and have a valid passport and no travel restrictions that limit my ability to cross the border between Canada and the USA.
  • I thrive in an agile environment that is constantly changing and encourages team members to collectively collaborate and communicate.
  • I love to be directly involved in projects and initiatives that offer continued learning and endless opportunity to express my ideas and build my leadership skills.
