Position: Maintenance Supervisor Reports to: Maintenance Manager
We are looking for a Maintenance Supervisor to join our Maintenance team! Our Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for supervising the maintenance team to ensure that all maintenance assignments are carried out in an efficient and safe manner.

Experience
- You have a Bachelors in Engineering, Red Seal Millwright/Electrician or relate discipline
- You have at least 3 years of experience as a supervisor or a similar role in the food manufacturing industry

things you will do…
- Organize maintenance work assignments within appropriate timeframes and stay within allocated budget
- Set-up, maintain, and supervise preventative maintenance systems, inspection routines, scheduling, training and more
- Coordinate contractors' activities and uphold communication with stakeholders as needed
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives and safety objectives
- Strive for zero incidents and ensure a people centered safety culture exists within the department
- Perform audits of in-process and closed work orders and track spare parts inventory

Detailed Description of Duties:
1. Administration and Personnel Management (P&C) – 25%
Hours Approval
- Approve and manage timesheets and work hours for maintenance staff.
- Ensure accurate and timely submission of payroll-related documentation.
Employee Relations
- Foster a positive working environment and address employee concerns.
- Conduct regular team meetings and one-on-one sessions to maintain open communication.
Shift Reports
- Compile and review daily shift reports to monitor maintenance activities and outcomes.
- Ensure proper documentation of work completed, issues encountered, and corrective actions taken.
Coach, Train, and Develop Maintenance Team
- Provide ongoing coaching and development opportunities for team members, such as conducting root cause analysis, maintenance team huddle, major down time review and job safety review.
- Identify skill gaps and facilitate training programs to enhance team capabilities.
Skill Matrix and Improvement Plan
- Develop and maintain a skill matrix for the maintenance team.
- Create and implement improvement plans to enhance individual and team performance.
2. Work Planning – 25%
Use Existing CMMS to Create Work Orders
- Utilize Limble to generate work orders for the maintenance staff.
- Prioritize work orders based on urgency and impact on operations.
Preventive Maintenance (PM) Completion
- Schedule and oversee the completion of preventive maintenance tasks.
- Ensure all PM activities are performed according to established schedules and standards.
- Develop a PM audit system and perform work audit.
3. Equipment Reliability – 50%
Line Down Response
- Lead the maintenance team in rapid response to equipment failures and production line downtimes.
- Ensure timely and effective resolution of issues to minimize production disruptions.
Coordination Between Production/Sanitation and Maintenance
- Maintain clear and continuous communication with production/sanitation supervisors and managers.
- Coordinate maintenance activities to align with production/sanitation schedules and requirements.
Proper Escalation to Managers
- Escalate complex or critical issues to senior management promptly.
