Contract Role - January 2025 - February 2026

We are looking for a Brand Manager, Silver Hills to join our Marketing team. This role is responsible for working collaboratively with the team to develop, lead, and implement marketing programs aimed at building and strengthening our consumer brand, Silver Hills Sprouted Bakery as well as our corporate brand, Silver Hills. The Brand Manager will also manage and mentor two direct reports.

Experience

  • You have 5+ years of experience in a marketing or communication role in Consumer Goods Products and/or Food Manufacturing environments
  • You have a Degree or Diploma in Business, Marketing, Communications or related discipline field
  • You have people leadership experience, including coaching and development

Nice-to-Have

  • Knowledge of WordPress and HTML

Requirements

  • Lead marketing strategy for Silver Hills Sprouted Bakery and Silver Hills to drive the business to higher levels
  • Drive and implement communication/marketing programs to build and improve the brand
  • Produce engaging, compelling, and consistent brand communication material and drive social media efforts
  • Monitor trends and review available data to improve positioning or communication
  • Lead marketing programs related to new product development
  • Lead the development the annual strategies and manage the marketing budget
  • Train, recruit, and develop team members consistent with the goals and values of the organization
  • Develop brand strategy and plans to achieve annual revenue objectives
  • Lead the execution of marketing tactics to drive trial, shelf velocity, and improve brand equity
  • Analyze market, internal and digital metrics, as well as consumer trends to inform brand strategies and improve brand execution
  • Produces engaging, compelling, and consistent brand communications support materials for internal and external audiences
  • Responsible for executing packaging design and changes, social media plans, e-newsletter and influencer marketing in collaboration with internal staff and external agencies as necessary
  • Leads the development of trade and consumer show strategies and execution for Canadian and US shows in partnership with Trade/Event Marketing Coordinator
  • Manages and tracks the budget to ensure financial discipline within the Marketing team
  • Evaluate all marketing programs, track results and share KPIs with the team
  • Manage the brand website and associated links required to ensure effective tracking of website traffic
  • Manage relationships with external agencies, vendors, and partners to execute campaigns and product initiatives.
  • Assist new product introduction by managing packaging development, amends and approvals to ensure Brand consistency
  • Support new product launches with the development of customer launch presentations and consumer support campaigns
  • Interact with cross-functional departments to influence and implement brand plans
  • Manage and respond to all consumer enquiries via social media, email and phone, when required
  • Collaborate with the Content and Copy Manager to develop content plans to deliver against brand strategy and KPIs
  • Highlight consumer complaint trends and collaborate with R&D to address
  • Monitor certification and regulatory updates provided by Compliance and ensure that brand-related elements (packaging, website, sell sheets) are updated accordingly
  • Other duties as assigned

Salary: $70,000 - $85,000
