As the Manager, Growth & Emerging Products at Float:

  • You'll work directly within our Co-Founder and Growth and Emerging Products Team to drive mission-critical, cross-functional projects across the organization.
  • Conduct thorough market research to identify emerging trends and opportunities for growth within our products, business model, or go-to-market (GTM) tactics.
  • You will work closely with Marketing, Sales, Customer Success to drive efficiency and scale across various parts of the business. Examples: lead quality, website conversion, partner referrals, rep productivity, time to onboard on Float.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders across multiple teams to execute complex cross-functional initiatives that move the business forward.
  • Move beyond typical B2B sales and marketing playbooks to unlock scale and ROI.

Requirements

You'll be great in this role if:

You've got the experience. To be successful in this role, we're looking for 3-5+ years of experience in operations or growth within the fastest-growing startups. You've built out and scaled onboarding, activation, and expansion strategies through Product or Operations. You've managed multiple customer lifecycle stages autonomously. You also have:

  • Experience in developing Growth strategies from 0 to 1 and growing them to scale.
  • Experience in iterative/agile development and working with engineering teams directly.
  • Experience operating against consumption-based revenue models and owning revenue targets.
  • The ability to build systems. You know how to leverage existing growth systems and leverage them to build out a new system.

You're analytical and data-driven. You're proficient with data analytics using SQL, Excel, and CRM systems with an ability to draw key insights from both quantitative and qualitative data. You leverage tools to inform strategies, understanding customer needs, market trends, and growth opportunities. You possess a strong attention to detail; diving into the weeds with your team and picking up on the seemingly small, yet important, details.

No task is too small. You are willing to roll up your sleeves and get your hands dirty to truth seek and drive outcomes for the business.

You have a hacker's mentality. You obsess over finding innovative ways to hit goals – even when the conventional wisdom says you're wrong. You're constantly seeking new ways to push boundaries and drive progress, and you're excited to drive change and shape the future of our organization.

You're comfortable with ambiguity. You know where we need to go, but recognize there won't always be a straight path to get there. You're scrappy and enjoy finding creative ways to work through obstacles.

You're an owner. You take complete ownership and accountability of delivery and outcomes. As the pipeline owner, you'll have the opportunity to showcase your independence, initiative, and resourcefulness to hit and exceed your goals. You thrive in an environment that values self-direction and empowers you to take ownership of your work.

You are an exceptional communicator. You are a strong cross-functional communicator. You possess astute influencing skills, and you have the ability to bring multiple stakeholders together and problem-solve between various groups. You are a skilled listener who is able to understand and synthesize diverse perspectives and opinions.

This role won't be a fit if:

  • You do not like to work asynchronously
  • You are not a self-starter and do not like to work independently
  • You aren't obsessed with your craft
  • You don't like ambiguity
  • You are uncomfortable with direct feedback
  • You don't like regular feedback on your work
  • You prefer stability over change
  • You aren't comfortable prioritizing your own work
  • You don't have a strong work ethic
  • You aren't a team player
  • You aren't resilient
  • You have an ego

Don't meet every single requirement? If you're excited about this role, and you strongly align with our values but your past experience doesn't align perfectly, we encourage you to apply anyway. You may be the right candidate for this, or other future positions.
