We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to oversee all aspects of our client's manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leadership in a manufacturing environment, with strong strategic planning and operational management skills.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership:
Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve company objectives and drive growth.
Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and technological advancements to identify opportunities for expansion and improvement.
- Operational Management:
Oversee day-to-day manufacturing operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met.
Optimize production processes to maximize output while minimizing costs.
Implement lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Team Leadership and Development:
Provide leadership and direction to the manufacturing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation.
Recruit, train, and develop staff to ensure a high-performing workforce.
Set clear performance goals and provide regular feedback and coaching to employees.
- Financial Management:
Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
Implement cost-saving measures and efficiency improvements to enhance profitability.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and take corrective actions as needed.
- Quality Assurance and Compliance:
Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and quality control procedures.
Implement and maintain rigorous quality assurance processes to deliver products that meet or exceed customer expectations.
Investigate and address any quality issues or customer complaints promptly and effectively.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in manufacturing management, with a proven track record of success in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality management systems, and lean principles.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic plans and drive operational excellence.
- Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and cost management.
- Experience in implementing and managing ERP/MRP systems is a plus.
- Lean Six Sigma certification is desirable.
