If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! The Ottawa Black Bears (NLL) are looking for an In-Game DJ to join their Game Production team.

We are seeking a talented individual to create an engaging atmosphere for fans through music coordination at all Ottawa Black Bears (NLL) lacrosse games.

This is a part-time role based on the organization's events and lacrosse calendar which will include evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Main Responsibilities
  • Attend all Ottawa Black Bears home games at Canadian Tire Centre, which are held on evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Provide engaging music throughout all segments of the game (pre-game, in-game, and halftime).
  • Alternate DJ for Ottawa Senators home games and other Canadian Tire Centre events as needed.

Requirements

  • 1-3+ years of DJ experience required. Sports industry experience is a strong asset.
  • Bilingualism is an asset (English & French), but not required.
  • Ability to:
    • Entertain a large crowd and be creative with music choices.
    • Effectively communicate and work with others in a fast-paced environment under pressure.
    • Provide thoughtful music choices that will get the crowd involved in the game.
    • Mix music, create mashups, and blend songs together.
    • Attend pre-game staff meetings, typically 2 to 2.5 hours before opening faceoff and rehearsals when required.
    • Work additional team events if applicable.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Flexible hours and available to work all home games including preseason and postseason if applicable.
  • Knowledge of basic audio and video production technology, trends within the music industry, and music genres.

Candidates may be asked to read off a script during the interview process to showcase their abilities.
