We are seeking an experienced Director of Quality to join our growing team to ensure industry-leading quality and safety of our custom equipment and services within the food, pharmaceutical, and agricultural industries. As the Director of Quality, you will be responsible for developing and implementing quality control procedures/frameworks for TMG, working with managers and employees across various departments to support them in ensuring compliance with production processes and regulatory requirements. It is crucial that our Director of Quality promote a positive company image through quality, safety, consistency, and professionalism.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems (QMS) to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Design and conduct audits to assess quality system effectiveness, identify areas for improvement, identify trends, and implement corrective actions.
  • Lead cross-functional teams and support department leaders to resolve quality-related issues and implement preventive measures.
  • Create and reinforce a quality culture within the company, ensuring every employee knows why quality is important and what to strive for.
  • Conduct supplier quality assessments and manage supplier relationships to ensure product/service quality and compliance.
  • Provide leadership and training on quality principles and practices to employees at all levels of the organization (5S, lean, Six Sigma, etc.)
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and product/service quality.
  • Collaborate with sales, engineering, production, project management, and field service teams to resolve customer complaints and implement corrective actions for product non-conformances.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure the company's quality management system remains compliant and effective.
  • Develop and maintain quality metrics to monitor and continuously improve product quality and production processes.
  • Lead and/or support the implementation, maintenance, and expansion of quality systems in all TMG facilities.
  • Department staffing, administration, budgets, training, mentoring, and employee onboarding.
  • Always conduct oneself in a professional manner in alignment with Company values, including but not limited to language use, attire, and workmanship
  • In accordance with company policy/ESA; overtime, work outside of regular hours, and being on call may be required at the discretion of the company.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field (Engineering, Quality Management, etc.)
  • 10+ years of experience in quality assurance/quality control in the manufacturing industry
  • 5+ years in a supervisory position with responsibility for direct reports
  • Experience with custom automation, material handling, conveyors, welding, and metal fabrication solutions
  • Knowledge of quality management standards (e.g., ISO 9001) and regulatory requirements
  • Proficient in quality management tools and software.
  • Experience in leading quality audits and implementing corrective actions.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to effectively lead cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Proficient with MS Office applications, such as Excel and Word.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
