POSITION SUMMARY
As a member of the Welding team, this position will be responsible to operate welding machines and work with a variety of various weld fixtures while adhering to the CWB welding procedures.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Operate welding equipment to join metal parts according to blueprints and/or specifications.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to determine welding requirements.
- Weld using various materials and welding techniques including MIG and ability to learn TIG.
- Verify all materials and parts are fit and ready for welding.
- Clean and maintain welding equipment and tools regularly.
- Perform all job-related tasks in a timely, efficient, and safe manner.
- Works effectively in a team environment.
- Completes tasks while ensuring performance targets are met.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
- Completion of vocational training in weld with the ability to pass CWB certifications.
- Thorough knowledge of all types of welding procedures and practices.
- Physical dexterity, strength, and stamina to perform welding tasks.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Attention to detail and quality assurance to ensure welding meets industry standards.
- Have great interpersonal and communication skills.
- Able to perform required duties with minimal supervision.
- Must be flexible to work various shifts.
