POSITION SUMMARY

As a member of the Welding team, this position will be responsible to operate welding machines and work with a variety of various weld fixtures while adhering to the CWB welding procedures.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Operate welding equipment to join metal parts according to blueprints and/or specifications.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to determine welding requirements.
  • Weld using various materials and welding techniques including MIG and ability to learn TIG.
  • Verify all materials and parts are fit and ready for welding.
  • Clean and maintain welding equipment and tools regularly.
  • Perform all job-related tasks in a timely, efficient, and safe manner.
  • Works effectively in a team environment.
  • Completes tasks while ensuring performance targets are met.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

  • Completion of vocational training in weld with the ability to pass CWB certifications.
  • Thorough knowledge of all types of welding procedures and practices.
  • Physical dexterity, strength, and stamina to perform welding tasks.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Attention to detail and quality assurance to ensure welding meets industry standards.
  • Have great interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Able to perform required duties with minimal supervision.
  • Must be flexible to work various shifts.
