Overview:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Autobody Production Manager & Bookkeeper. This unique position requires a blend of production management expertise and financial acumen to oversee the operational and financial aspects of our autobody repair shop.

  1. Recording Transactions: Record day-to-day financial transactions including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments into the accounting software or ledger system.
  2. Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable: Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable to ensure timely collection of receivables and payment of liabilities.
  3. Bank Reconciliations: Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
  4. General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts on a regular basis.
  5. Payroll Processing: Process payroll accurately and timely, ensuring compliance with payroll laws and regulations.
  6. Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  7. Tax Preparation Support: Provide support during tax preparation and audits by maintaining accurate records and documentation.
  8. Compliance: Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding financial records and reporting.
  9. Software Proficiency: Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) proficiently to manage financial transactions and generate reports.
  10. Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
  11. Office Management: Maintain office supplies inventory and ensure proper functioning of office equipment. Coordinate with vendors for repairs and maintenance as needed.
  12. Administrative Assistance: Provide administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the office. This includes handling correspondence, scheduling meetings, making travel arrangements, and preparing reports and presentations.
  13. Customer Service: Serve as the first point of contact for clients and visitors. Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries promptly and professionally.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a bookkeeper or similar role minimum experience is 5 years.
  • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office (especially Excel).
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Degree in Accounting or Finance (preferred) or relevant certification (e.g., Certified Bookkeeper).
