The opportunity:
Dr. André Poirier and Dr. Christos Lioupis, located in Moncton, NB, are looking for a permanent full-time Vascular Sonographer to join their team.
As a vital member of the team, the Vascular Sonographer is responsible for delivering quality care to patients. Key Responsibilities, as required/applicable:
- Coordinate patient care by administering arterial and venous ultrasounds.
- Answer inquiries in a helpful, respectful and efficient manner.
- Conduct ultrasounds according to physician's orders.
- Maintain electronic medical records via EMR software.
- Ensure exam rooms are stocked appropriately.
- Perform all other related clinical, administrative or special tasks.
Working Conditions & Location:
The Vascular Ultrasonographer position requires availability to work on-site from Monday to Friday, 7 hours/day (excluding evenings, weekends, and STAT holidays).
The team within the clinic consists of a total of 2 Vascular Surgeons and their respective support staff. The clinic is located at 100 Arden St, Moncton, NB.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrate advanced clinical and critical thinking.
- Ability to maintain a high regard for confidentiality and advocacy for patients.
- Self-motivated individual who has the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Proficiency with a computer which includes using the internet, electronic medical record system, and MS Office software.
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by fostering a mindset of innovation, problem solving, and excellence.
- Demonstrate excellent documentation skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Exhibit compassion and patience.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in English is required, proficiency in French is considered a strong an asset.
Experience/Education:
- Register with Sonography Canada (Main governing body in Canada).
- Sonography Canada certification exams.
- Completion of CRVS credentials is a bonus.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a healthcare environment is an asset.
- General knowledge of the New Brunswick medical system is an asset.
