LICENSED FUNERAL DIRECTOR

Mattatall~Varner Funeral Home is seeking a Licensed Funeral Director & Embalmer to join our professional team in Truro, Nova Scotia.

The ideal candidate will be career-oriented and have a genuine enthusiasm for the profession and a passion for customer service excellence. You must demonstrate an aptitude for the embalmer's role as well as the maturity, social deportment and organizational skills of an arranger. The ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, is essential as is basic competence with common workplace computer applications.

You understand the demands and complexity of the profession and possess the capability and desire to contribute and thrive in a team role, along with the confidence and responsibility to work independently when required.

You are currently licensed - or eligible for licensing - as a funeral director and embalmer in the province of Nova Scotia and have at least one to two years of continuous funeral service experience. In addition, you hold a valid driver's license and a safe driving record and are willing to provide a criminal record check.
