Ability NB is seeking a passionate, highly motivated and results oriented Consultant for our Peer Mentorship program. The successful candidate is an experienced leader in program development, delivery and evaluation. The program aims to increase access to early intervention mental health services by helping people with a mobility disability and their families adjust, adapt and thrive as they deal with a new injury or with the ongoing challenges of living and aging with a mobility disability. The Consultant assists with program development, delivery and evaluation including promotion, mentor and mentee recruitment & screening, group session facilitation, individual peer mentorship connections & coordination, peer mentor training and program evaluation.

The successful applicant must demonstrate the following qualifications:

  • Minimum of a post-secondary degree or diploma in a social service related field. Equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Highly motivated, results-driven, innovative and resourceful
  • Excellent planning, organizational, time-management, communication, facilitation, relationship-building, numeracy and writing skills
  • Proven ability to network and work collaboratively with employees, volunteers, diverse stakeholders and populations
  • Knowledge of peer mentorship program best practices
  • High level of proficiency with computers and in Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of privacy legislation and demonstrated ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
  • Previous experience in peer mentorship program delivery an asset.
  • Persons with a mobility disability are strongly encouraged to apply.
  • Bilingual ability in English and French is required for one position and English ability is required for the second position.

Salary: $44,000 to $51,000 + benefit package. Valid driver's license, travel throughout the province and use of own vehicle is required.
