Documentation Specialist

Tropical Shipping of Canada provides weekly container service from Canada to the Caribbean and the Bahamas. Operating state-of-the-art facilities in select seaside ports to meet our customer's freight-shipping needs. For this entry level position, the ideal candidate will possess excellent written and oral communication skills along with strong computer proficiency. Also, good organizational skills with a high attention to detail while being able to work in a fast paced environment is necessary. This position will be located in our Saint John, NB office. As well, the ideal candidate will have:

• Post-Secondary Education
• Experience in International Import/Export trade and /or transportation documentation.
• Must be comfortable in a computerized environment with working knowledge of MS Office software (Word, Excel).
• Bilingual-English/French would be considered an asset.

Specific duties include:

• Daily communication with customers/agents.
• Data entry.
• Preparation and distribution of shipping documents.
• Proactive resolution of specific customer related issues.
• Communicate with operations and administration personnel Company-wide as required to meet objectives, deadlines and customer needs.
