The Opportunity?
We believe that our success depends upon having the right people in the right jobs with the ability to work well together. We are currently accepting applications for a Continuous Improvement Coordinator. Under the direction of our Chief Operations Officer, this position is responsible for leading the development and implementation of continuous improvement projects for all Country Ribbon divisions to improve productivity, reduce waste and deliver cost savings. This role will also be tasked with leading site project management and capital projects.
Duties and Responsibilities?
Key expectations for this role will include:
- Foster a culture of Continuous Improvement and facilitate required change management
- Identify and implement process improvement projects to improve efficiencies and eliminate waste
- Collaborate with managers, supervisors and employees to identify and develop continuous improvement opportunities
- Conduct data analysis to assess current processes and measure performance metrics
- Coordinate capital projects and lead on site project management initiatives
- Track and report performance on various Continuous Improvement projects
- Coach and train teams and individuals in Continuous Improvement principles and processes
- Lead cross-functional teams to identify and analyze process improvement opportunities and eliminate inefficiencies
- Prioritize improvement projects based on business goals
Is role right for you?
If you have strong analytical skills and are adept at navigating complex situations to find effective solutions this could be a fantastic opportunity for you. You will have post-secondary education in engineering/engineering technology, business, project management or another relevant field. This will be combined with 3-5 years' experience in a continuous improvement role in an operations or manufacturing environment. The ability to foster collaboration across teams and effectively facilitate change management would be definite assets.
