FULL-TIME LPN POSITION

Riverview is seeking an enthusiastic nurse to support our residents. Residents reside in our facility, Adult Residential Center or community homes throughout the county. Riverview is a non-profit service provider committed to providing holistic care to persons with intellectual and physical disabilities and/or long-term mental illness. Over the next 12-18 months, all the residents will transfer from facility living to community homes. With the transition, there will be new opportunities for community nursing.

Qualifications

· A current license to practice nursing in Nova Scotia with a minimum of 2 years

· Organizes and completes work in a safe, timely, and effective manner

· Demonstrated strong clinical skills are required and seek learning opportunities to remain current

· Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

· Demonstrated supervisory skills

· Initiative and the ability to work independently and as a team player

· Current First Aid and CPR, or willing to obtain

· Experience in MANDT or willing to obtain

· Must be able to work 12-hour shifts, days, nights, and weekends, and be flexible in meeting operational needs
