Community Coordinator

Family Plus is looking for a dynamic team player to fill the role of Coordinator for our Community Based Sexual Violence Program.

The Coordinator will be responsible for implementing various aspects of community-based sexual violence work at Family Plus including:

· Recruiting, training, and communicating with volunteers that work with sexual assault survivors who present at local hospitals and clinics

· Presenting workshops in the community

· Collaborating with partners, groups, and individuals to provide information and education on the volunteer support program and sexual violence

· Collaborating with the Sexual Violence Team at Family Plus

· Perform Intake duties for clients and assist in referring them to community bases services

· You enjoy facilitating and training

· You have excellent administrative skills (organized, good time management, etc.)

· You understand the industry and areas of service

· You enjoy building relationships with diverse stakeholders, including donors, partner organizations, corporate groups, and community members

· You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills

· You can work independently but also function well in a team environment

· You have experience supervising volunteers

· You have experience in group training and facilitation both in person and virtual platforms

· You have an understanding and knowledge in the field and not for profits

· You can work occasional evenings and weekends as required

· You have excellent boundaries

· You have strong computer and strong verbal and written communication skills

· You have a degree in social work (preferred) or other education and experience relevant to this position
