CNC MACHINIST:

R.P. Hawboldt Machining Ltd, a 49-year company, is located in Pictou County in rural picturesque Nova Scotia. We are a family-run business that empowers its employees and utilizes their skills and abilities to service a large, diverse customer base - supplying CNC and conventional machining, full hydraulic services, component manufacturing, and gearbox refurbishing. We are currently seeking a permanent full-time CNC machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will need to be able to program, set up, troubleshoot, and operate in a production environment producing quality small batch runs.

Responsibilities & Qualifications:

• Excellent at programming and setups
• Read and understand cad drawings and be familiar with geometric dimensions and tolerances
• Set up and operate CNC Turning Centers and Machining Centers producing small batch runs.
• Proficient in measuring and working in tight tolerances, ensuring all parts meet drawing specifications.
• Pay close attention to detail and assume responsibility
• Effectively communicate with supervisor and co-workers in a team environment or independently.
• Perform "First" off inspection and ensure all parts meet the drawing specifications.
• Dealing with changing priorities in a quick and efficient manner.
• Maintain equipment and work area

Following would be considered an asset but not a requirement

• Convention Lathe and Milling machine experience
• CNC Horizontal Boring Mill experience
• Fanuc and Mazatrol Controller experience
