The OSC's mandate is to collaborate with investors, academia, not-for-profits, and partners from across ocean industries to develop and commercialize innovative solutions to shared ocean challenges that are globally-relevant and include key investment areas such as ocean energy, sustainable seafood, the future of marine transport and climate solutions, and focus on growing more Canadian ocean companies and building the ecosystem to deliver on this potential. The OSC has a team of over 30 employees across seven provinces. We are looking for an innovative thinker to drive our workforce agenda and contribute to the growth, retention and development of the ocean economy and the health of the planet.
About the candidate:
This is an exciting role that will help Canada's Ocean Supercluster, as a convenor, to continue to build opportunities for its members, partners, and key stakeholders in Canada and globally to work together in the development of new collaborations, projects, and strategic planning for the cluster and Canada, more broadly, on the path to Ambition 2035.
Reporting to Director, Engagement, the Engagement Lead will plan and execute the convening calendar and stakeholder engagement strategies. This includes developing and implementing tactics to engage members of the OSC and manage projects in support of steering committees, working groups and events in a cross-functional manner in close collaboration with the Engagement Team members.

Roles and Responsibilities:
• Conceptualize, plan, and execute the OSC's convening calendar, including events, business connectors, roundtables, webinars and other key activities
• Develop and roll-out sponsorship plan for key OSC activities and events
• Develop and implement engagement strategies to provide value to members of the OSC
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment of engagement initiatives
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of engagement initiatives and make recommendations for improvement
• Build and maintain relationships with members to understand their needs and interests
What you bring:
• Bachelor's degree in business, communications, non-profit management or other relevant field
• 5+ years of combined client services, stakeholder engagement and project management experience
• Exceptional planning, organizational and time management skills
• Superior attention to detail
• Experience in engagement planning and execution, including stakeholder engagement events
• Self-directed, able to work independently and with an ability to engage cross-functional teams on projects in a remote environment
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, startup-like environment
• Comfortable working entirely remotely and engaging effectively in a virtual environment
• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
Assets:
• Project management credentials
• Experience working in membership-based organizations
• Established network and knowledge of the ocean economy in Canada
• Fluency in French
