Red Seal Industrial Mechanic

Position Summary

Crosby Foods Limited is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Red Seal Industrial Mechanic to join our Maintenance Department. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in a food manufacturing environment or similar.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive preventive and predictive maintenance programs where necessary.
• Demonstrate problem solving skills.
• Conduct and lead root cause analysis, implement corrective actions to improve reliability, reduce maintenance costs and increase production uptime.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement culture by identifying and implementing innovative solutions.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and industry standards.
• Participate and support in maintenance projects.
• Provide guidance to junior maintenance team members and operations.

Qualifications

• 10-15 years of experience in an industrial mechanic role within a manufacturing environment, preferably food processing.
• Valid Red Seal Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) ticket.
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, with excellent troubleshooting skills.
• Proven track record in safety and compliance with industry standards.
• Experience with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and quality systems.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Flexibility to work on day, night, and some weekend shifts.
• Strong and effective communication skills.

Desired Skills

• Experience with OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) metrics and continuous improvement.
• Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
