Produce Order Picker

Job Title: Order Picker (General Labour)

Location: Burlington, Ontario - Upper Middle Road & Appleby Line

Shifts: Days 6:30am - 3:00pm Monday - Saturday (Saturday shifts are mandatory) OR Nights 10:00pm - 6:30am Sunday - Friday

Rate of Pay: $19.00/hour to start

Job Type: Temporary to Permanent Hire

Our client in Burlington is hiring for day and night shift warehouse Order Pickers! This is a long-term to permanent hire role with a successful and reputable company that distributes produce. You must be comfortable working in cold temperatures and be available to work on Saturday.

Responsibilities Include:

• Safely operate an end rider / electric pallet jack
• Pick and pack customer orders of produce items using a RF Scanner
• Load and unload straight trucks using an end rider or by hand
• Working in a variety of temperature zones from dry (20C) to freezer (-20C)
• Adherence to all Health & Safety, Food Safety and WHMIS practices
• Lifting up to 50lbs
• Other duties as assigned

Candidate Requirements:

• Previous experience in a similar fast-paced order picking and warehouse role
• Comfortable working in refrigerated work environment
• Experience handling food products or produce is an asset
• Able to stand and walk for long periods of time
• Strong communication skills and works well with other
• Comfortable lifting 10-50lbs frequently
