Reporting to the Interdisciplinary Research Chair in Mental Health of Children & Young People, the postdoctoral fellowship will be supervised by Dr. Vickie Plourde and will be conducting research within integrated youth services (IYS) in New Brunswick (NB), in collaboration with a team composed of community members, researchers, clinical/administrative staff, and students at the undergraduate and graduate level.

As part of a larger research program that focuses on establishing a learning health system in the context of IYS in NB, the postdoctoral fellow will have the opportunity to co-design (with youth, family members and community partners) and implement a measurement-based care approach. The postdoctoral fellow will also be participating to multiple knowledge translation activities related to this research program. This project is part of a provincial and pan-Canadian movement to transform mental health services for children and youth aged 12 to 25, and their families.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Preparation of ethics applications

· Apply the First Nations principles of ownership, control, access, and possession (OCAP) within the research

· Participation in team meetings with different partners

· Participation in the development of a co-design model with youth, family members and community partners in order to offer measurement-based care in IYS

· Development of data collection tools (e.g., qualitative interview guide, questionnaires)

· Participation in data collection (e.g., administer tests/questionnaires, lead sessions)

· Data analyses and interpretation of qualitative and quantitative results

· Knowledge translation and dissemination of results (e.g., scientific articles, presentations, scientific posters)

· Supervision of students and other staff

· Other tasks requested as part of the position

REQUIREMENTS:

· PhD in psychology or related field

· Research or work experience in the field of mental health

· Excellent knowledge of participatory research methods (i.e., community-based research)

· Excellent teamwork skills

· Excellent communication skills

· Good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and data processing software (i.e., SPSS, NVivo, Qualtrics)

ASSETS:

· Previous research experience in the field of youth mental health

· Advanced skills in quantitative and qualitative data analysis

· Previous research experience in collaboration with multiple government and community partners

· Fluency in French and English (written and oral)

  • SALARY: To be determined based on experience (35 hrs/week)
  • START DATE: As soon as possible
  • DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS: October 28th, 2024

  • TEMPORARY POSITION : for 12 months, up to a maximum of 24 months
