Role Overview:
We are currently seeking a Service Desk Sales Associate to join our team. As a Service Desk Sales Associate, you will interact with customers and share your passion and knowledge of tools and building materials with them. Whether it's a DIYer or a contractor, your expertise will help them find the right tools and materials for their project. You'll be part of a collaborative team environment, working together to provide excellent customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Engage and assist customers at the service desk
- Provide excellent customer service to all customers who come to the service desk
- Provide customer service over the phone, by email, or on video calls
- Answer customer inquiries and assist with technical support
- Maintain knowledge of all company services and products
- Maintain product information on displays
- Assist other team members
- Other miscellaneous tasks
- Collaborate with team members to ensure customer satisfaction
- Service Desk Sales will need to have a solid understanding of home hardware goods and services to provide customers with accurate information.
- Assist customers with technical support when necessary, such as helping them select the correct tools for specific projects.
- Responsible for answering customer inquiries, providing guidance on product usage, and handling any customer complaints or issues that arise with support from Management.
- Able to communicate effectively with customers and work efficiently in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Comfortable working with numbers, handling cash transactions, and using computer systems to process sales and manage inventory
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior sales experience preferred, preferably in the building material industry
- Able to lift heavy boxes (up to 50lbs)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of computer systems and technical support preferred
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
