Long Term Care Assistant

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Long Term Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to residents in our Alzheimer Care Unit ensuring their comfort and well-being. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong sense of empathy, and the ability to work effectiveley in a fast-paced environment.

Reponsibilities:

• 1 on 1 activities with residents of engage in small groups
• Bed making, tidying rooms and bathrooms
• Stocking PPE and supplies
• Assist residents with feeding
• General tasks to assist the CCAs

Requirements:

• Previous experience in long term care would be considered an asset
• Strong communication skills in English
• Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team, including nurses and other professionals
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple responsibilities effectively
• A genuine passion for providing high-quality care to residents in need
