Job Title: General Maintenance Worker
Location: Saint John, NB
Shift/Hours: Full Time - Days - 8:00am to 5:00pm
Pay Rate: $21.00/Hour

Advantage Personnel is seeking skilled and motivated General Maintenance Workers to join our customers dynamic and continuously growing team!
In this full-time role, you will be responsible for providing maintenance and repair services at both commercial and residential locations. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring that all facilities are safe, functional, and well-maintained.

As a General Maintenance Worker, you will bring a broad range of skills in various trades, including plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and HVAC systems. Your hands-on experience with tools and small appliances will be critical in diagnosing and fixing issues promptly. Whether it's performing routine inspections, conducting repairs, or responding to urgent maintenance requests, your proactive approach will help us maintain high standards of service and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
* General Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of facilities, including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry tasks. Ensure that all areas are well-maintained and comply with safety standards.
* Repair Work: Diagnose and repair small appliances and equipment, focusing on HVAC systems, heating units, and air conditioning systems. Address issues promptly to minimize downtime for clients.
* Tool Operation: Utilize a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively to perform maintenance tasks. Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
* Preventive Maintenance: Implement a preventive maintenance program to identify potential issues before they become significant problems. Keep detailed records of maintenance activities and repairs performed.
* Customer Interaction: Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients, addressing their concerns, and ensuring satisfaction with completed work. Build and maintain positive relationships with clients.
* Emergency Repairs: Respond to emergency maintenance requests as needed, ensuring quick and efficient resolution to minimize disruptions.
* Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while performing maintenance tasks. Participate in safety training and meetings to enhance workplace safety.

Requirements:
* Minimum of 2 years of experience in maintenance or a related field
* Proficient in using various hand and power tools
* Strong troubleshooting skills, particularly with HVAC systems and small appliances
* Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, and general carpentry
* High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications (e.g., HVAC, plumbing) are a plus
* Ability to lift heavy objects, work in various weather conditions, and stand for extended periods
