Industrial Painter

Job Title: Industrial Painter
Location: Saint John, NB
Available Shifts: Monday - Friday, 7am-5pm
Rate of Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour

Assignment Information
Advantage Personnel is seeking Industrial Painters to join our client's growing team in Saint John, NB. This position requires an individual with 3-5 years of painting experience and has experience in fabricating and manufacturing. In this role, you will be required to conduct and complete full industrial painting projects. This includes pre-assessment of the space with follow through to the final quality check.

Responsibilities:
• Scraping, grinding and pressure washing surfaces to prepare for new paint
• Sandblasting
• Painting and applying corrosion control products
• Painting using spray equipment
• Maintain clean and organized working space
• Collaborating with appropriate personnel regarding job specifics and requirements

Candidate Requirements:
• 3-5 years of Painting experience
• Comfortable with handheld power tools, scrapers, grinders, etc.
• Comfortable working at heights, fall arrest and aerial lift certifications an asset
• Experience in fabrication/manufacturing
• Willing to travel (PEI, NS, and the Maritimes)
• Able to stand for extended periods
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Able to comfortably lift 50lb+
• Maintain detailed records of service and communication
• Able to understand terms and products being used
• Ability to work well on a team and take direction
