SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversees pre-billing process for a practice group or team, including the posting of monthly pre-bills based on WIP reports, and ad-hoc requests related to billing;
  • Works directly with clients to distribute bills and acts as the main point of contact for any billing inquiries or concerns;
  • Ensures all contact information is up to date for clients;
  • Monitors client accounts and A/R reports for any outstanding balances and follows up with clients as required;
  • Monitors client accounts for inconsistencies and irregularities;
  • Liaises with accounting department as the primary contact for billing related matters; and
  • Other duties as required.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least 1 year of related administrative experience, preferably in a law firm or healthcare setting;
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office;
  • Excellent communication skills to deal with clients and explain financial matters;
  • Above-average organizational skills to be able to locate files speedily;
  • Attention to detail to maintain accuracy of bills; and
  • Previous experience with Aderant is an asset.
