The Department of Social Development is seeking an individual to join the South East Zone as an Adult Residential Facilities Coordinator position in it's Moncton office.

This regulatory position is primarily responsible for the recruitment, approval, inspection and on-going monitoring of Adult Residential Facilities. Duties include; assessing applications for approval to determine if operators meet the appropriate regulations and standards; monitoring the quality of care of facilities; following-up on all complaints and/or concerns as they pertain to the operational concerns of the adult residential facilities. When applicable, this position will be required to initiate, coordinate and complete investigations and ensure that operators have complied with the corrective measures established. In addition to these responsibilities, this position will serve as a liaison with appropriate agencies and professionals as well as the Special Care Home Associations and the New Brunswick Association of Residential agencies. Other duties may be assigned as required.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or GED supplemented by successful completion of a one (1) year post-secondary diploma related to a human, social, or community services program or other post-secondary education in a related field and a minimum of six (6) years related experience in a regulatory environment.

Written and spoken competence in English and French is required for the current vacancy. Please state your language capability.

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS: Preference may be given to candidates that demonstrate experience in one or more of the following asset qualifications:

Experience in participating in formal investigations

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENT: Travel throughout the province may be required.

Salary: $53,118 to $64,506 per annum
