Board Opportunity

Young Adult Cancer Canada's Board of Directors plays a vital role in governing YACC, overseeing the implementation of our strategy and providing support to the organization. We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced individual to join our Board for the 2023-2024 term.
Our Mission:
Our mission is to support young adults living with, through, and beyond cancer. To be the connection to peers, bridge out of isolation, and source of inspiration. Every cancer, every stage, YACC's got your back.
Currently Seeking Board Member(s):
YACC is actively recruiting new board members who are deeply committed to supporting young adults affected by cancer and who view YACC as a philanthropic priority. Ideal candidates will possess 3-5 years of previous board experience and have expertise in the fields of communication, technology, law, or fund development, which will be considered valuable assets.
What is Expected:
As an applicant, you should have a strong desire to help young adults with cancer access the programs and services offered by YACC. We seek individuals who are dedicated to contributing to a collaborative team and who are passionate about achieving our strategic goals. This volunteer commitment entails attending Board and/or Committee meetings, participating in Board Development activities, and engaging in other relevant initiatives. While quarterly meetings can be conducted at YACC HQ or online, we strive to bring everyone together for an in-person board days twice a year.
Sounds Good? Let's Hear From You:
If you are interested in this opportunity, please send an Expression of Interest (EOI) to Lesley Morrissey at [email protected]. In your EOI, kindly outline your governance experience, community involvement, and relevant knowledge of Young Adult Cancer Canada.
YACC values diversity in all its forms and encourages every person interested to apply.
